What we do
AutoTech Garage is an independent vehicle repair garage in Bournemouth. Independent means we are not part of a dealer network or a national chain: the people you speak to are the workshop that does the work, and there is one address to bring your vehicle to.
The work runs from routine servicing, air conditioning and general repairs — brakes, suspension, steering, clutches and batteries — through fault diagnosis to the larger mechanical jobs: cambelts and timing chains, engine repairs and welding. We work on petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, so it is worth telling us which you have when you get in touch, and the right time and equipment are set aside for it.
We arrange your MOT. The test itself is carried out off-site at a DVSA-approved test station. The repairs a failure calls for, including welding, are carried out at our own workshop.

AutoTech Garage is an independent, family-run business — a husband-and-wife team. That is who you are dealing with when you get in touch.

How we work
We explain the work and get your go-ahead first. Nothing beyond what you have agreed is carried out without a telephone call, and anything we find while your vehicle is with us is explained to you before it is done.
Where a fault could be several things, we test to confirm the cause rather than replacing the part a fault code happens to name — which is how the same fault comes back a fortnight later. Where a job turns out to be larger than it looked, we tell you what that means before going on with it.
